Ellie had her first jumping lesson on VV (her new warmblood) on Sunday at Radfords with James Dawson. Although originally booked to be a joint lesson I think she benefitted from having a lesson on her own.
Watching from the side, and not really knowing much about horses, all I seemed to hear James saying was Bounce – Bounce, Bouncy Bouncy – must be a technical term that only horsie people understand.
The lesson went pretty well, and it was felt that VV would be a good jumper – very willing and on the ball – as you will see from the picture below.

We regret to inform you that formation riding with Alison Lewis has now been canceled until further notice.
Sadly our previous site, hosted at www.vvrc.co.uk has been down for some time, and although we have worked hard to get this reinstated it was unfortunately not possible.
Please update your links to the new site www.v-vrc.com
We have taken the opportunity to get a new hosting provider and to base our site on Wordpress. Not only will it make it easier for us to add new features but the editing of the posts is now so much easier to do… no more learning those weird HTML tags!
What is planned for the site?
As riding club members, we don’t all get to see each other at every event and it is easy to lose touch. So, with this in mind, we would like to hear what our members are doing with their horses and propose a members page in the news letter and on the website where you can tell us your news (new horse, first competition or fun ride, anyone you would like to recommend or absolutely anything else that may be of interest).
Please do try and send us something, it does make for a much more enjoyable newsletter. It’s your newsletter so any other suggestions would be much appreciated . We are also thinking of an equestrian agony aunt column, so if you have a burning horsey question that could be of interest , we will ask all our
instructors to comment.
