Are you interested in animals, and/or the countryside? If so please read article below…

“We have a 10 acre smallholding in Oswestry, overlooking the breathtaking Candy Woods, and have 5 horses and 1 pony. – plus dogs, cats, rabbit & parakeets…
We are situated amongst the rolling hills of North Shropshire – within touching distance of Wales, nestling in a green-belt area of superb natural beauty….”

Want to know more, and take some time out with us, HERE at AROSFA PADDOCKS?

For a minimum donation (see below) we can arrange for you to come up and spend some hours, enjoying the countryside/learning to care for our animals & pets.
Choose to spend some time getting to know how to look after them.  A complete outdoor education!   Come along and ‘muck in’ with us, whatever way you wish…

Learn how to groom the horses, feed them and/or pick out their feet.  How to tack up a horse, or rug it against the weather.

Either take part in handling them, or just watch, and return again when you feel confident for the hands-on approach!

If you, or your family are thinking of owning a horse, then we can show you what it takes to look after one yourself – including making a date to come along when our farrier is shoeing the horses, if you wish.

We have over 30 years of experience with horse (and dog) ownership.  It is very enjoyable, and can be extremely addictive.  The weather can be cold, and miserable at times, yet the next minute its forgotten, and is replaced with fun and exhilerance.  Scenery is breathtaking, and seasonal colour changes phenomenal, as we overlook the woods of the beautiful Candy Valley.  Summer days are superb, and the tranquillity is priceless….  So come and take the STRESS out of your lives, and learn something different !

Do you own your own horse?

If so, then why not come up and ride out with us for up to 2-3 hours, to explore somewhere different.  Maybe your stables are by busy roads, and you want a quiet change, where you can relax in the depth of the countryside, then we can introduce you to some wonderful tracks, off-road riding and bridleways.

If you have no means of transport, and your horse travels well, and loads okay, then we can offer trailer hire by negotiation, when available.

No towing vehicle?  We can also offer possible transport collection/return for you and your horse via our Ifor Williams 17.2hh trailer and 4×4 – at £1 per mile (limited to 10 mile radius of SY10 9AY).  Limited dates available.

If you are an experienced, adult Advanced rider, we have one horse we may be able to loan out, but proof of ability would need to be established beforehand.  (Not open to Novice riders. ) You will also need a body-protector to wear, and your own rider insurance, as with all riders who join us in our rides.

Maybe you are a walker….

Alternatively, just bring up a packed lunch, and we will schedule you on a local planned walk via countryside green lanes and paths – and you don’t even have to bother with the animals if you don’t wish to.

How would you like to be involved in a day with us?  Let us know and we will try our best to accommodate your wishes.

The day can be tailor-made for whatever you’d like.
