Festival of the Horse
This weekend saw our 1st Area competition, how the weather was different to the last time it was supposed to run!
This year there was an introductory class, which was a non qualifier, but gave newer members or baby horses the chance to take part. We had 5 entries for this, what a shame it wasn’t a team event, as we would probably have won! Lisa Lewis was 3rd, Ian Coe 4th & Sara Wright 5th. Ian did a great job riding a horse he hadn’t sat on before! Alison Harper & Sarah Roberts also took part & did really well with their babies! So we had a great start to the day!
The next class to run was the Intermediate, we had 1 team & 1 Individual. The team of Kat Morgan, Sarah Roberts, Emily Pryce & Rachel Tudor Davies came a very respectable 2nd out of 11 teams, finishing on 17.6 penalties, & it was great to see Ian taking part on his new horse.
We had 1 team & 1 individual again for the novice. The team was Lisa Lewis, Sam Davies Vicky Robson & Emily Pryce, unfortunately not placed, but i think we were all pretty pleased with our 1st run of the season! New member Kate Curzon went individually & again had a great run.
