British Dressage National Championships
A debut Performance
Thank you to everyone from George and I, for your kind wishes of encouragement. It was an early start (3am to be exact!) not just for me but everyone else too who squeezed into Elaine’s Lorry!.
George and I took a little time to settle our nerves in the warm-up, however faithful trainers Elaine Hinton and Andrew Murphy soon focused our minds to a less stressful place.
George behaved impeccably (yes, honest); he peaked just 10 minutes before our time, dancing his socks off, then powered off a little for the test, having seen the first few competitors falter for trying too hard, we were ready. Unfortunately our tactics didn’t quite pay off and we faltered in two key moves dropping our scores across the 3 judges and overall collectives. But despite this, George gave a fantastic feel and real hope for an exciting future.
We’ve also qualified for the Winter Regionals at Elementary level/part Medium including the music freestyle. So the more there are to wave the Welsh Flags the better!
Watch this space, we are due to do our first Advanced Medium this month! Woo hoo!
Thanks again to everyone,
Rhiannon Warburton and George. xx
