Rider Core Strength and Fitness Course

Throughout February and March we ran a six week ‘Rider Core Strength and Fitness’ course. This was incredibly successful with 24 members signing up. I couldn’t believe the amount of enthusiasm we had, so thank you those who supported it. The course was led by the wonderful Emily Pryce on Thursday nights and even though we had a couple of unplanned interruptions due to the ‘Beast from the East’ we managed to run all six sessions eventually!
I think it goes without saying that everyone improved fantastically over the weeks and it was clear to see that balance, strength, flexibility and confidence in our own abilities came on in leaps and bounds. Emily introduced a core set of exercises and stretches to follow each week (including the dreaded squats!!) along with a few new balancing and stretching tools to keep things interesting each session. I think everyone I spoke to said it had improved their own fitness and therefore their riding, so it’s fair to say they were a huge success.
I have had lots of enquiries about running a similar course again ,and I think if we have enough interest, then we can definitely do this. So get your yoga mats and balance balls ready and watch this space!!
