Showjumping update Area Show Jumping at Caerwys in July

We all set off early on a dry sunny day but when we turned left at the Chester roundabout, the rain hit us……and did it rain……it poured all the time we were there.    We all got soaked to the skin.
However the girls all remained cheerful as did their parents and supporting friends.

Our team jumping 80cms were:  Rebecca Furniss , Helen Hathaway and Hannah Burgoyne. Shelly Colohan jumped the 100cms, they all rode extremely well.  The grass was wet and slippery, but the girls jumped so well that they were placed 2nd as a team and Hannah got an individual 5th which was wonderful.  Shelly rode amazingly well, but was just out of the ribbons.

All the girls did us proud, they were a great group and I am very proud of them all.

Take a look at their photos, they are brilliant, and if you look carefully, you will see the rain drops all around them

Inter-Club Show Jumping

This is just a reminder that we will be hoping to run another Inter-Club Show Jumping competition again this year with Dolfor Riding Club. The aim of this event is for ALL riders to have the opportunity to be able to compete for their club.
We usually start at about 50cm, but if people want to do a smaller first round that’s absolutely fine! The day will be catered for those who come to jump for their clubs, from poles on the ground to 1m60!! (I think that is the record James Dawson has set!!)
Every year we have a lot of fun, jumping successes and cake! We obviously couldn’t run this competition without our kind and generous helpers, so if you’d like to be involved in a local club event please let me know (we really, really appreciate you!)
I will let you know more information about the event as soon as possible. Hope to see lots of you there – we need to retain our winning trophy!! Kat
